Nothing is more boring than exercise for the sake of exercise! Wouldn’t it be great if that aerobics or step class taught you stuff you could use in the real world?
Well now, it can!
Using self-defense based on the art of Shudokan–an Okinawan martial art that few people know in the Eastern United States, but which is ideally suited to women–this class will show you some amazing exercise routines that will make you healthier, more flexible, and more observant, while teaching you how to defend yourself and the people you care about!
With an instructor that’s taught these principles to people from thirteen to eighty, with all types of builds and physical capacities, we want to share them with you!
No matter what your limitations might be, the elements of this course can be adapted to help anyone. Not only will you see plenty of benefits--from better health to more secure outlook--but you’ll have a lot of fun doing it!
This introductory, 8 week series will include:
- stretching and balance training
- how to form a powerful punch (that uses natural movements to generate power)
- defense scenarios like freeing yourself from wrist grabs or getting out of choke holds
- elbow techniques that can turn things in your favor quickly
- psychological techniques that will give you an advantage over attackers
- disarming a gunman
- and much more!
Unlike some courses that require special pikes or weapons for you to keep with you, you’ll learn to do these things using only the weapons you already possess on your body!
